Isidre Enrich

Spain (2002)

Isidre Enrich's paintings are apparently instinctive, but when you look closely at his work you enter into a sophisticated world, where the smallest gesture translates into something unique and unrepeatable.

His distinguised flowers emerge naively from their pots and rise up in an almost magical gesture of freedom, simplifying reality and shaping the space.

An everyday act of painting which, in turn, is a chronicle of doubts and a personal diary of nuances; the artist fragility and plastic sensitivity.

Each image expresses its strength individually, with a composition that defies format and proposes surprising undulations full of sensuality and movement. Textures, transparencies, solid colours and, at the same time, a blurred line that grows upwards or fades away, expressing much more than just a flower, underlying the concept of 'vanitas' as the pleasure of what is simple and beautiful.

Drawing, icon, silhouette, mental sketch in different variations.

Isidre Enrich's work radiates energy, precision, disorder and fleetingness, all from a single idea. An apparent and elegant formality that gives deeper values than the flower’s idea; an untiring painting that accompanies you, like good music does, and stimulates the place around it.

His personal language turns each painting into a new prototype. This is the artist's manifesto: the poetry of a repetition that is unique each time.
